Winter Wonderland Pillow

Winter Wonderland Pillow

$8.00

Welcome to Winter Wonderland where we will create a pillow inspired by snowy, wintry scenes. The pillow is designed to coordinate with the Winter Wonderland MKAL Shawl (aka “couch blanket”). This is a classic design with fun and unusual construction.

The textured colorwork is stunning and is created by a few simple garter short rows that do not require any special turns. Make the back in plain stockinette or reverse the colors from the front as shown in photos.

The contrasting I-Cord seam around the edges makes for a neat and decorative finish and can easily be opened on one side if you ever need to take the cover off. Other options to the I-Cord are offered in the pattern.

You can use heavy fingering to DK yarn but keep in mind that yarn qty and size may vary depending on gauge and specific yarn used. You can fill the pillow with batting or a pre-made pillow form. See all participating yarn dyers here.

If you haven’t made the Winter Wonderland Shawl yet, you can find the pattern here.

Size and yarn usage will vary with differences in yarn and gauge. The instructions are both written and charted and the pattern has been professionally tech edited and tested.

Pattern is available in Knit Companion or will be soon.
