About Knit for the Soul

I strive to design simply elegant knitwear that is fun to make and to wear.

I am a big fan of seamless and top-down designs so that they can be tried on for that perfect fit and so there are no unfortunate surprises at the end.

Versatility is super important to me for both the making and the wearability of my designs.  I include design options within most of my patterns so that my knitters can make them their very own.

Knitting is relaxing, challenging, and therapeutic.  There’s just something about creating beauty with two sticks and a ball of string that is good for the soul.

I like to think that by sharing my designs, I am spreading blessings and cheer around the world as people make them.

I started designing knitwear when my background in accounting (cpa) and years of Business and IT Consulting finally came together with my creative outlets.  It’s all the same skill set, believe it or not.

I learned to knit as a young girl, my mother taught me, but I really got into it when I spent hours on the soccer sidelines and couldn’t take my sewing machine.

My husband and I have three children and two dogs. My middle daughter is my main model and was the soccer player.

All three of our kids (and my husband) are incredibly supportive across the design process, from feedback on designs and photos, modeling, and even winding those innumerable balls of yarn!

I’m incredibly grateful to my testers and all who make my patterns.  I couldn’t do this without you!
