St. Johns Bridge

St. Johns Bridge

$8.00

The St. Johns Bridge pullover has an easy cable pattern that doesn’t even require a cable needle! And there’s hardly any purling because it’s worked from the inside as soon as the front cable is finished.

Of course, there are also a ton of design options included to make it your very own.  Design options include 3 different sleeve lengths (short, ¾ and long), a split hemline, and a fun welt that can be worked at the neckline and sleeve cuffs for that perfect finishing touch.  The welt really sets off the  cable design but it also looks good without it for an easier sweater.

St. Johns is worked top-down, seamlessly, and in-the-round to ensure a good fit and so that there are no unfortunate fit surprises at the end.  Short-row shaping lowers the front neckline.  The neck is cast on and worked in raglan yoke method, incorporating a welt round and a cable motif, until sleeves are separated at the underarms.  The cable motif at each side of the body flows into the hem ribbing with an optional side split in the hemline.

Inspiration:  The St. Johns Bridge in Portland, Oregon is an iconic suspension bridge that inspired this sweater design.
